RETURN & REFUND POLICY

At Forma, we are committed to delivering premium-quality products that meet the highest standards. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, this Return & Refund Policy explains your rights and our procedures for returns, exchanges, and refunds.

This policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 25 of 2002 ("ECTA"), and all other applicable South African legislation.

1. GENERAL RETURNS

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may request a return within 30 days of receiving your order, provided that:

  • The product is unused and in substantially the same condition in which it was received.
  • The original packaging, accessories, manuals and inserts are included.
  • The product shows no signs of misuse, abuse or accidental damage.
  • Proof of purchase is provided.

Returned products will be inspected before a refund or exchange is approved.

2. CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS

If you change your mind after receiving your order, you may return the product within 30 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The product has not been used.
  • It is returned in its original packaging.
  • It remains in a resalable condition.
  • All included accessories are returned.

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning products for change-of-mind returns unless otherwise required by law.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

3. ONLINE PURCHASES (ECTA COOLING-OFF PERIOD)

If you purchased your order online, South African law generally provides a 7-day cooling-off period after delivery.

If you choose to exercise this right:

  • You must notify us within seven (7) days of receiving your order.
  • The product must be returned unused and in its original condition.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the product is defective or supplied incorrectly.
  • Any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the product may be deducted from your refund where permitted by law.

4. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

In terms of Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, all products carry an implied warranty of quality for six (6) months from the date of delivery.

If your Forma Product

  • has a manufacturing defect;
  • is not of good quality;
  • is not reasonably durable; or
  • does not perform as intended under normal use,

you may choose one of the following remedies:

  • A repair
  • A replacement
  • A refund

This warranty does not apply where the product has been damaged due to:

  • Accidental damage
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Incorrect operation
  • Failure to follow the supplied instructions
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs
  • Improper storage
  • Normal wear and tear

Forma reserves the right to inspect all returned products before approving a claim.

5. DAMAGED OR INCORRECT ORDERS

Please inspect your order upon delivery.

If your order:

  • arrives damaged;
  • contains the incorrect product; or
  • is missing items,

please notify us within 48 hours of delivery by providing:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs of the product and packaging

This helps us investigate the issue and resolve it promptly.

6. NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

Unless required by law, the following items cannot be returned:

  • Products damaged through misuse or negligence.
  • Products showing excessive wear inconsistent with normal inspection.
  • Products with missing accessories or packaging.
  • Gift cards.
  • Clearance or final-sale items (unless defective).

7. RETURN SHIPPING

Unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect, incorrect item supplied, or another error on our part:

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • We recommend using a tracked courier service.
  • Forma cannot be responsible for items lost or damaged while being returned.

8. REFUNDS

Once your returned product has been received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method wherever possible.
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable except where required by South African law.

Your financial institution may require additional time before the refund appears in your account.

9. EXCHANGES

We are happy to exchange products where:

  • The product is defective.
  • The incorrect item was supplied.
  • The product was damaged during delivery.

Exchange requests are subject to product availability.

10. WARRANTY LIMITATIONS

The Forma Electric Lint Remover is intended for removing lint, pilling, and fabric bobbles from suitable garments and textiles.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Use on unsuitable fabrics.
  • Improper cleaning or maintenance.
  • Water damage or liquid exposure.
  • Dropping or impact damage.
  • Normal wear of blades or other consumable components.
  • Unauthorized repairs or alterations.

11. FRAUD PREVENTION

Forma reserves the right to:

  • Refuse returns that do not comply with this policy.
  • Request proof of purchase or identification where reasonably necessary.
  • Decline fraudulent or abusive return requests.
  • Limit excessive return activity.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable South African law.

12. HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN

Before returning any product, please contact our customer support team.

Please include:

  • Full Name
  • Order Number
  • Email Address
  • Reason for the Return
  • Photographs (where applicable)

Returns sent without prior authorization may result in delays in processing.

13. YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy excludes, limits or replaces any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, or any other applicable South African legislation.

Where this policy conflicts with mandatory provisions of South African law, those legal provisions will prevail.
